All good music isn’t planned. Knowing when to keep a happy accident gives your tracks soul, life and personality. So have a map, but know when to ignore it.
Electric Piano
There are few instruments friendlier to complete beginners than the piano. On most other instruments, it takes new students weeks or even months to learn how to produce single notes, but generating noise on the piano is remarkably intuitive. Press one key down softly and you’ll get a soft sound. Press a key down firmly and quickly and you’ll get a louder sound. Press multiple notes down simultaneously and you’ll get some sort of chord. Anyone can get sounds to come out of a piano, but converting those sounds into music takes work. If you’re dying to learn how to play the piano but have no clue how to get started, then you’ve come to the right place.
Trumpet
Trumpets are not an easy instrument to learn initially and are one of the most difficult instruments to learn, but with lots of time and practice, they can be mastered. For beginners, trumpets might not seem intimidating at first. But the story is quite different once they start to play it for extended periods of time. The trumpet is considered a difficult instrument because the sound of the trumpet is reliant on the delicate embouchure. The brass embouchure, particularly the trumpet embouchure, must be capable of producing frequencies upwards of 1000 HZ. As a beginner, you want to spend more time playing and practicing with your instrument, than trying to fix sticky valves and loose tuning slides. While a high-end trumpet will play and sound better most of the time, there are plenty of well-made, budget-friendly beginner trumpets out there.
